Pharmacy Data Analytics & Reporting Tool focal point (m/f/x) – Brussels – MSF Belgium
CONTEXT
Within MSF Operational Center Brussels (OCB), the Medical Department provides strategic direction and technical leadership, and is committed to keeping abreast of innovations in health care. We share the responsibility for operational decisions and responsiveness, and we are involved in supporting our project teams in co-developing context-appropriate medical-operational strategies and defining levels of care. The department also carries out normative work (e.g., development of guidelines, tools), supports their translation (e.g., training, quality improvement, information knowledge management), and facilitates operational research and innovative ideas.
The Medical Department is made up of several specialists located in a network of units around the world and works in close collaboration with operations, other OCB departments, other OCs and the MSF movement.
As Pharmacy Data Analytics & Reporting Tool (DART) Focal Point, you work primarily on the further development and implementation of DART for pharmaceutical activities. DART is a tool that pulls data from multiple sources and transforms it into up-to-date, automated reports—available at the click of a button. Designed for medical stock analysis, it has for objective to analyze single products or entire inventories, compare stock levels, monitor consumption, track pipelines, forecast demand, and stay ahead of ruptures or pre-expired items, and to focus on making decisions.
You will support the ongoing development of the Medical Monthly Stock Report (MMSR), Isystock reports in DART and Isystock data quality rules. You work closely with the Supply Chain Data Analyst to refine requirements, conduct functional testing, gather feedback from pharmacists in the projects, to design data visualization, and develop data quality rules. You have to ensure the integration of pharmaceutical and supply chain needs in the reporting. By doing so, the stakeholders in the projects can access the proper information for stock management and data quality improvement.
You will also act as the representative for the Pharma Unit in the Collaborative Demand and Supply Planning project (CDSP), led by the supply chain department to enhance forecasting and order planning to minimize OCB's carbon footprint, reduce losses, and ensure product availability.
